| The goal of WoW-Desire is to keep the community a friendly and interesting place to join and play and to promote a positive and fun gaming environment. In order to accomplish this, the following rules are in place to ensure the continued quality of this environment.
As these rules apply to specific instances of misconduct, we reserve the right to modify existing or add new rules at our discretion without notice (and without placing them in this list) in order to handle any variation of offenses.
The following rules are set by the WoW-Desire Staff for the provided services; we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the service (including the termination of your account) of any user at any time if any of these rules are broken.
By playing on our server you acknowledge that you agree to the below rules and will abide by them. You agree that you are personally responsible for the consequences.
» NO ABUSIVE CONDUCT!
Some abuses are as follows:
1) Spam/Flood: Using colored text or big Icons in channels is not allowed. Flooding it with repeated messages neither. Avoid it to avoid being muted. Use the proper language for certain channels as follows: LFG (lookingforgroup) - English, Yell - English, General - English
2) Donor bashing: If you are going to insult someone, please refrain from saying anything related to donators, the fact of the user has donated, got exclusive gear or anything that can slightly be related to donations in general.
Remember: donators allow our realms to continue to be free-to-play. Be thankful.
3) Misbehavior: You may not use any racial, unlawful, harmful, harassing, threatening, abusive, sexist, vulgar, obscene, hateful, anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-gay or otherwise objectionable language toward any other player or staff member. This includes trolling, griefing and spamming. Do not name any guilds or characters/pet that are based on the above stipulations. Do not use slangs.
Also: Swearing at anything related to the server or the server itself (rollbacks, restarts, scripts, site, forum, etc.) will be severely punished.
4) Staff impersonation: Pretending to be a Staff Member will result in immediate deletion and a lifetime ban.
Remember: Do not give your password to anyone claiming anything ever. We shall not solve these kind of issues. Once you gave out your password you accept the consequences.
5) Staff and Server disrespect: Disrespecting the server or a Staff Member for any reason is not acceptable. Violators are subject to immediate action.
Penalty: first attempt - warning; second - mute 60 minutes; third - 30 days account/ip ban.
» NO HACKING!
Players caught making use of any kind of cheat programs to Speed Hack, Fly Hack or cheat in any way (most common offenses) are banned from the server. They are unappealable.
Penalty: first attempt - 7 days ban; second - 30 days ban; third - permanent account/ip ban.
» NO CHEATING!
Cheating is defined as any attempt to give yourself an advantage over other players. The rules infringed may be explicit, or they may be from an unwritten code of conduct based on morality, ethics or custom, making the identification of cheating a subjective process. For this reason we reserve the right to define a cheater per situation depending on the offense committed by that player.
Penalty: first attempt - 7 days ban; second - 30 days ban; third - permanent account/ip ban.
» NO ADVERTISING!
Another basic rule! You may not promote or advertise any other servers or commercial products, or make any other form of solicitation on WoW-Desire
Penalty: Permanent ip ban.
» NO EXPLOITING!
This may take many forms, but all of them are obvious. If you are using any in-game advantage that shouldn't be normally available, it’s a bug exploit and the fault for abusing it is yours and whoever is helping you or doing it with you. Violators are subject to immediate action. Reporting an exploit that can be confirmed by our staff could be rewarded.
Penalty: first attempt - 30 days ban; second - permanent ip ban.
» NO ABUSING THE TICKET SYSTEM!
Do not post tickets asking questions that can be found using a simple means of searching Wowhead or Google. Also be respectful, brief, and to-the-point with the issue you are having. The ticket spamming is not allowed.
Tickets that do not follow these guidelines are subject to immediate deletion without a response and the players are subject to immediate action.
Penalty: first attempt - warning and kick; second - ban acccount/ip 10 min; third 1 day ban account/ip.
» NO ACCOUNT SHARING!
This is mostly to avoid scams. You may not buy, sell, trade, share or gift any account or character. Keep your accounts and characters to yourself.
Penalty: first attempt - warning; second - 30 days ban; then permanent ip ban. | |
